Remote translation and interpreting of highly technical content in the industrial crops sector

 

The challenge

In-depth technical knowledge of the subject matter is a must.
On this occasion we were asked to provide highly technical translation and interpreting services remotely – into English and Portuguese – for an international webinar organised by an internationally renowned company operating in the industrial crops sector.
The purpose of the webinar was for participants to share their expertise in industrial crops in order to improve management practices and obtain high returns on investment.
“The webinar will offer a unique opportunity to gain fundamental information to improve the Know-how on row crops management in order to increase the Return On Investment.”

The solution

A special Project Manager selected one of our top translators and interpreters working with the language combination English<>Portuguese (Brazilian) and with specialist knowledge of the technical terminology (biostimulants and nutritional specialties for crops). We worked closely with our client to create a glossary of terms for them to use both generally and at the event itself. Once the terminology had been agreed, the PM was responsible for obtaining all the material required for this event. Meticulous planning ensured that everything was understood and well communicated and that the online event was a great success.
