The challenge:
Translation and legalisation of legal documents for Myanmar (Burma)
The service was entrusted to us by a leading notary firm in Milan.
The sworn and legalized translations of documents were needed within a very tight timeframe and needed to be legally valid in Myanmar.
It was therefore our responsibility to faithfully render legal content by translating with accuracy, effectiveness, and promptness, using the correct terminology, all while strictly adhering to the set delivery schedules.
Our Solution
A dedicated Project Manager programmed, first of all, a DTP (desktop publishing) activity in order to create an editable text before translating and thus optimise processing time.
Translations, especially in the legal field, do not allow room for errors. For this reason, the documents were entrusted to a translator specialised in legal translations to then be entirely proofread by a second native speaker, both of whom had the specific expertise in legal terminology as well as in the specific legal area required and had an in-depth knowledge of the legal system in Myanmar.
Once the revised translation was sworn in Court and legalised at the Public Prosecutor's Office, our office in Rome then arranged for the consular visa to be affixed at the Myanmar embassy in Rome.
Our presence in Milan and Rome, the headquarters of the main consulates and embassies in Italy, together with over 40 years of experience in the translation, notarisation and legalisation of legal texts - including contracts, sentences, powers of attorney, judicial and notarial deeds, tender documents, documents for the registration of patents, trademarks and designs, articles of incorporation, by-laws, mergers and acquisitions, winding-up or dissolution of companies, proceedings concerned with the enforcement of judgements, infringement of patents, mainly for law firms, notary firms and companies - allowed us to deliver our service successfully.
