Our company was first certified in 2002 in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and the specific UNI 15076 standard for translation and interpreting companies. On 21st May 2007 we were also certified by Det Norske Veritas to comply with the provisions of the newly published CEN standard for the translation industry, EN 15038.
Why is this certification important?
This European Standard EN 15038 is specific for translation service providers and aims at ensuring the delivery of high quality translations. Processes and procedures in place in our translation company have been audited by the internationally renowned certifying body Det Norske Veritas and have been assessed as fully complying with the severe requirements of EN 15038, that ensure high quality translation services in all the languages and technical specilisations covered by Interlinguae. |

For Interlinguae, quality means supplying a translation or interpreting service that meets professional and ethical standards and fulfils client expectations in terms of the quality of the service rendered and within the time schedule mutually agreed upon. Interlinguae is fully aware of the delicate task entrusted it by its clients in acting as the vehicle for transmitting their technical information, business strategies and corporate image to a foreign audience and in discerning and capitalizing on the opportunities offered by todays global marketplace. Interlinguae guarantees a quality product, choosing the right translator or interpreter for each job on the basis of natural talent, areas of specialisation and training, experience and reliability. |
| Our method |
To meet the quality goals it has set itself and to guarantee each client and each job the full attention it deserves, Interlinguae has created a number of key positions of responsibility that allow us to provide a complete, integrated service, not merely a single product.
In each Interlinguae office, the Translating and Interpreting Service Manager oversees the entire analysis, planning and organizational process for all translation and interpreting work entrusted to Interlinguae, each job becoming a project planned and managed on an individual basis.
For this reason, each client and project is assigned a Project Manager who remains in constant, direct contact with the client for each job. The Project Manager also manages all production phases on the basis of the plan prepared by the Service Manager, from organization of the resources required to monitoring work progress, production coordination and final controls that not only check that the text has been translated, but that the proper style, lexicon and technical terminology have been used.
To ensure that the correct terminology is utilised and long-term continuity maintained for each client, the Linguistic Resources Manager develops and constantly updates special sector and client glossaries. |
